The request is to add a feature that allows merchants to set a maximum pause duration for memberships.
With this feature, merchants will be able to define how long a customer's membership can remain paused. For example, if the merchant sets the pause limit to 1 month, then once the membership reaches the end of that period, it will automatically become active again.
This will help merchants better manage paused memberships and avoid memberships remaining paused indefinitely.

Indeed, that would be a good idea. Also, the customer would need to be notified prior to the subscription reactivating again, so they can choose to either let it reactivate or cancel. But the ideea is that customers should not leave their subscriptions on pause, forever, potentially even forgetting about them. The fact that they get nudget to reactivate it after a period of time can recover many subscriptions back into active.
